I’M ALIVE!
Well I think so...
Anyhoo it’s been about a year since I updated, yay!
Well we all knew it would be abandoned anyway so I guess this isn’t really shocking news.

I’m going to WWDC again this year and depending upon tiredness, bandwidth and general laziness I will hopefully make an effort to log my adventures here :) So stay tuned because their might be some excitingness on the way!

Well I survived the HCI assignment :) no idea if i passed but it was done with minimal sleep deprivation so it was win. I have also survived the WWDC planning so far and CeBIT in Sydney. CeBIT was a tad boring but it was a good experience, I got to meet some of the CSIRO bigwigs which is useful and we won wine. After CeBIT we went to Canberra and met with some of the CSIRO ICT Centre people there. It was interesting but a bit useless because we didn’t know why we were there and neither did they. They showed us all the cool things they are working on though like their augmented reality systems for mining and haptic fun things (I poked a brain :D). The best thing about the trip was all the food i got to eat and CSIRO paid for :D

In more exciting news our abstract was selected for the IEEE Sensors conference in Christchurch in October :D which means we have to have a paper written by 14th of July eek even more work to do yay :( Also means we will be going to NZ in October :) during the exam period...

Less than 2 weeks to go before i leave for WWDC :D Only another 3 assignments to go...and learning cocoa eek!

I’M GOING TO WWDC!!!
I won an ADC student scholarship that I applied for thinking had absolutely no hope in hell of getting :D I have no idea how i managed it but who cares I’M GOING TO WWDC! I’m a tad excited right now and have to start booking things so i can actually get there and not have to sleep in the tenderloin... I guess i’ll have to slot the learning cocoa in amongst the humungerous HCI assignment, games fun game and review, oh and the HCI review and CeBIT and CSIRO work in general...OHGOD! better get cracking :D

Its official, my mother has gone mad. The dining room is being painted white. WHITE! Did you know white comes in many varieties? I didn’t. It’s just not right. I doubt life will ever be the same. I will miss the pumpkin orange. (that’s Brittany btw, see how traumatised she is)

I also realised I am able to tie my hair back today. I need a haircut badly, I can’t be this girly. I look far too much like my sister (not Brittany, Daele).

Anyway back to “The Good, the Bad and the Undead” I <3 holidays (yes the fish tank will get cleaned at some point)

Ohgod why am I doing this? Oh that’s right I WANT TO BE COOL!!!!! ^-^
Well I’ve done the Easter shopping which I feared I would end up mehfforting on. It wasn’t that painful and I spent some time in the bakery with my old friends who don’t seem to be wallowing in pits of depression now that I’m gone, which is quite odd...

I’m super glad that the abstract for the IEEE Sensors conference is done though now I need something else to procrastinate about and assignments aren’t really close enough yet. I really need to work on my writing ability so that I can be more useful, getting Jess to translate everything I write into proper English will get old fast. Damn my lack of artsy type subjects, I haven’t written an essay since year 11. I guess my next endevour will be learning PyS60 so that I can be useful to Jess if she needs me. Though on the other hand I have a bucket of buttons that I should do something crafty with, like fashion myself a hat. :o maybe i can attach some to my super long socks...

The weather has turned cold which means NEW CLOTHES! I <3 my mittens :D MY FINGERS HAVE HATS! My beret is SUPER COOL too OHGOD WINTER I can’t wait for some new boots and a new coat and for a day cold enough to wear my super long socks.

oh and I <3 Delicious Library, I can admire all my pretty books in computor land as well as real life now ^-^ I just finished reading “White as Snow” by Tanith Lee, it was pretty good but not as good as I wanted it to be. I liked the Snow White/Persephone thing but it didn’t really go deep enough I think, just glossed over everything that would have made it great. I’m a fan of really good villains and I wanted the evil queen to be fantastically evil and mad, she was mad but not evil enough or pretty enough. I’m still waiting to find the perfect Tanith Lee book, all her books are good but none of them are ever fantastically brilliant like they should be. I’ve been recommended to read the Blood Opera sequence so I might try to get a hold of that soon...maybe they will be the ones... Until then I might read the next Kim Harrison though it is being jealously guarded by my mother who I’m sure will let me read it before her...she’s such a kind and generous mother (you never know who will read these things...probably no one...)

sigh I may need to purchase an iPhone so I can be cool, it goes against everything I stand for though. Also I totally need to get a PS3 OMG that Eden game was great (and I didn’t dream about it so it’s like perfect) jumpy jumpy poof mahaha take that pollen thingie. Hmm need to think of a game to review for Games Fundamentals...perhaps something like “Jill of the Jungle” since I really don’t play games all that often, not like I used to anyway.

To quote my favourite DOA2 character Ayane, "Wow. You came all the way here." though I don’t believe I have killed any of your mothers so you probably didn’t need to read all this boring carp (don’t worry I don’t think I will do it often).
